This green smoothie is SO creamy and decadent. It’s just like you’re drinking a milkshake, but better because it has lots of spinach and almonds.
It’s perfect for St. Patrick’s Day or any day of the week. (Hopefully this recipe will make up for me wearing purple today…)
The following recipe was inspired by my friend, Leah, and her almond smoothie. Thanks, Leah!
kidoing! Creamy Green Smoothie (serves 2-3 people)
- 2 c baby spinach (or whatever leafy greens you prefer)
- 1 1/2 c almond milk
- 1 frozen banana
- 1 T (heaping) of almond butter
- 1 pitted medjool date
- small handful of ice (optional)
Blend all ingredients well. If you want a cold smoothie, add a handful of ice. Here’s a picture of my daughter enjoying every last bit of her green smoothie (with her awesome Glass Dharma glass straw).
